Capturing the heart and soul of your beloved companion…

I always had a close connection with animals since my childhood. This connection with animals (and their owners!) was strengthened even more while working as a veterinarian for over three decades - I am still working as a vet 4 days a week. I have learned to appreciate every animal’s unique personality and my aim is to capture these personalities in my portraits.

My experience in art also stretch over many decades as an artist specialising in oil paintings. Most of the commissions that I have done over the years included animals. All the hours that I have spend with the brush working on the canvas had changed the way that I see the world around me. I aim to use all this experience to produce something special with my camera.

My involvement with photography started in 2008 when I picked up my first DSLR camera. It was love at first sight! I have spent many hours taking thousands of photos to use as references for my oil paintings. Sometimes I would spend more time with the camera than with the paint brush!

It is amazing how much painting and photography has in common: perfecting the composition, creating light and shadow, working with colour…

I am very excited to combine all my experience with animals, art and photography and focus them to create art that is not only beautiful but also have soul and an artistic touch that will set it apart from the rest!
